Sophie Clarke is a 20 year old Classical Crossover Artist currently training in Musical Theatre at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in Greenwich, London where she is a Leverhulme Arts Scholar.

Her credits include performing as the Mezzo-Soprano Soloist in 'Bernstein’s Mass' at The Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre, solo singing for BBC One’s 'All Together Now' Series One and acting as Guest Soloist for the World Famous Southport Flower Show which attracts over 50,000 visitors every year.

Most recently, Sophie was selected to train at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York for summer 2019 on their prestigious Musical Theatre Intensive. Before her departure to The US, Sophie competed for the first time at The Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod and was one of three finalists in the International Voice of Musical Theatre competition.

Her musical journey began at age nine when she became the regular guest soloist for The British Heart Foundation in her hometown of Liverpool and the surrounding Northwest areas. Today, eleven years later, Sophie still fulfils that role and over the years has performed for many other charities in some of their most prestigious concerts and events. Some examples include singing a duet of 'Beauty and the Beast" with The voice of Disney Peabo Bryson in a charity event organised by David Gest and performing as Guest Soloist with the Rhos Orpheus Male Voice Choir on several occasions.

In addition to her charity work, Sophie also performs many of her own solo concerts in various parts of the country. Since moving to London to study at Trinity Laban locations include various parts of Kent, Essex and London.

As a musical theatre student, Sophie is also a budding actress and dancer. She was selected to dance for Edeline Lee at London Fashion Week 2018 and was a featured dancer in the music video 'Go All Out' by up and coming artist Salt Ashes. Sophie has acted as compere for a family concert by Cinematic Syncopations Orchestra at Blackheath Halls, London in March 2019 and for several harp recitals in and around the London area.

When at home in Liverpool, Sophie can be found busking to raise funds for her training in London and sings a selection of styles such as 70s and 80s classics, easy listening, musical theatre and classical music. Without the generosity of so many people she would not be where she is today and she is extremely grateful.

Sophie has many up and coming concerts and events in the near future and is always interested in performing in new places and venues. Please refer to the Contact Page if you have any questions or would like to book Sophie to perform at your event.
